2017-2018 FEDERAL DIRECT LOAN REQUEST FORM
All eligible students who complete the FAFSA will be considered for the Federal Direct Loan Program. This form is provided for students, in limited circumstances listed on this application, who are requesting additional Direct Loan funds after the initial Award Letter was processed.
Review this information before you submit your on-line request
- The Student Financial Aid Office will evaluate your eligibility for both the subsidized and unsubsidized loans
- Loan amounts will be evenly split between fall and spring terms or summer/fall/spring unless you graduate in summer or fall term
- If you will graduate in summer or fall semester, your Direct Loan amount may be prorated based on the number of hours enrolled in the term (see http://www.kent.edu/loan-proration)
- In order for your loan funds to credit to your student account, you must meet all compliance requirements such as half time status, entrance loan counseling and have a signed Master Promissory Note on file at the Department of Education
