Choose Ohio First Integrated Science Training Scholarship
Description:
Choose Ohio First scholarships are student-centered awards from the State of Ohio. The scholarships offered through this Kent State University COFS Program are for students to use to attend Kent State University in order to pursue degrees in biotechnology and the biomedical sciences. Students can major in Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, Biological Chemistry, Physics (Biological Sciences Option), Pre-Med and Pre-Pharmacy (Pre-Vet and Pre-Dent majors are NOT ELIGIBLE). Scholarship awards are made to incoming freshmen, transfer students or current KSU students; and are renewable. Incoming Kent Campus freshmen students must submit a complete application for admission to the Kent Campus (application, fee, test scores and high school transcript). Selection based on student^s academic potential and desire to succeed, as well as GPA (min. 3.0), test scores and financial need. Transfer students admitted to the Kent Campus with a minimum college cumulative GPA of 3.0 from Cuyahoga County, Lakeland County, Lorain County or Stark State community colleges, are also eligible. Students are encouraged to apply early as the number of awards available are limited. Scholarship recipients must be Ohio residents.

Kenneth Wetzel Endowed Scholarship
Description:
This scholarship is available to an incoming freshman undergraduate student in the College of Arts & Sciences who will attend Kent State University in the fall. Students must complete an application for admission and be admitted to the Kent Campus of Kent State University by January 15th to be considered. Preference is given to residents of Massillon, Ohio. Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative high school GPA. This scholarship is a four-year renewable scholarship if renewal criteria are met.
