The Merry-Vale Travel Scholarship for LGBTQ Education/Research Abroad/Away

Ohio Space Grant Consortium State of Ohio Education Undergraduate Scholarship
Description:
In an effort to increase the number of students entering the teaching profession, the OSGC offers financial support through competitively awarded scholarship opportunities to full-time undergraduate and Post-Baccalaureate students in the College of Education at an OSGC participating college or university listed below. To be considered for this scholarship, students must be citizens of the United States and residents of Ohio pursuing certification and licensure in a Science-or Mathematics-related teaching discipline at one of the following certification grade levels listed below. Women, underrepresented minorities, and persons with disabilities are especially encouraged to apply. Educational scholarships are funded through the Congressionally supported National Space Grant College and Fellowship Program administered by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) with state funds provided by OAI. No matching funds are required for educational scholarships. All OSGC State of Ohio Education Undergraduate Scholarship recipients are required to develop a student-taught, educational activity or teaching unit under the guidance of a faculty mentor during the academic school year, and an end of project reflection. Recipients are encouraged to attend the Annual Student Research Symposium, held every April. Due to COVID-19, the spring symposium will be conducted as a virtual, asynchronous event. Student will need to submit their final project documentation to the OSGC for online publication on their website. This scholarship can be renewed one time from the junior year to the senior year for applicants who are in good standing and making progress on their current award. May 4 Commemorative Student Activism Scholarship
Description:
The May 4 Task Force sponsors the May 4 Commemorative Student Activist Scholarship each year. This scholarship was created after the generous donation of the concert performance fee of Peter, Paul and Mary during the 25th anniversary. Contributions have also been made by Fugazi, among others. The Kent State May 4 CD Project also benefits this scholarship. Requirements include: a reflective paper (minimum of 5 pages, double spaced with appropriate documented sources) on the events of May 4, 1970, student applicant must be active on the Kent State Campus and hold at least a 2.50 cumulative GPA and be returning at least 3/4 or full time next year. To be considered for the scholarship, individuals must complete the on-line Kent State University Student Financial Aid Scholarship Application. Description:
Requisites: US citizen, 2.5+ Kent GPA, physically/mentally fit, leadership potential. Selection based on merit by Kent State Military Science Department. President's Transfer Award
Description:
Student must be admitted to the Kent Campus of Kent State University as a new transfer student. You must be a U.S. Citizen and non-ohio resident and be enrolled in your first bachelors degree program. Must apply by April 1 for summer, August 1 for fall semester and Dec. 1 for spring semester.
