The Scholarship Search Qualifier section of the Kent State University Online Scholarship Guide is designed to display all scholarships that you may qualify for given the information you provide. However, the Scholarship Search Qualifier will also display scholarships that we believe you will qualify for, even if the scholarship does not specifically match the criteria you entered. For example if you enter 3.0 for your GPA the Scholarship Search Qualifier will return results of scholarships that specify a GPA of 3.0 or higher as well as those scholarships that don't specify any GPA requirement. You can use a broad search with only the basic criteria such as Class Standing, Major, or College/School or you can narrow your search by including criteria such as age, enrollment status, and ethnicity. The further you narrow your search the greater the chances of receiving only those scholarships you qualify for. Remember, the Scholarship Search Qualifier results are based on the information in the printed guide. Some scholarships have specific criteria that may or may not be included in the description section. Make sure you verify all information with the contact person(s) for each scholarship. Not all scholarships may be listed in the printed guide or here in the online version. Contact the academic departments to ensure that you are not missing out on any new scholarship programs.
